Home Ownership Incentive Program

HOMEOWNERSHIP INCENTIVE

The OSU Faculty & Staff Near East Side Homeownership Incentive Program is a down payment assistance program that consists of a zero interest forgivable loan (second mortgage) in the amount of $8,000 to be applied towards the required down payment, closing costs and/or reduction in principal amount on a home purchased in the PACT geography on the Near East Side.

In an effort to increase the level of homeownership in the historic Near East Side community, The Ohio State University developed a down payment assistance program for its faculty and staff, for the purpose of purchasing homes. This program is administered by PACT in the historic Near East Side where the University and its partners made a commitment to revitalize one of the city’s most historic neighborhoods—home to University Hospital East and CarePoint East.
